Disneyland’s Performing Arts Conservatory

Monday:
Such an intense day! It started out with a warm-up workout backstage, then we learned the choreography for our final number. We had lunch and then went into CA Adventure to watch the Aladdin show. After the show, we had a meet and greet with the cast! We then got split into three groups for the songs. I’m in the Under The Sea performance. It’s super fun and I’m meeting some really nice people. This is definitely a dream come true!

Tuesday:
Super fun day today! Started off with Pirates of the Caribbean, two times in a row, then we went backstage to rehearse. We met Susan Egan, who plays Meg in Hercules, and then we split into our groups to rehearse our dance routines. Tomorrow is day three and it is going to be AWESOME!

Wednesday:
Yesterday was a lot of fun and I totally passed out when I got back to the hotel. In the morning, we did improv exercises and in the afternoon we went into CA Adventure and watched shows and The Pixar Play Parade. Then it was time for singing and dancing. I can’t wait for today!

Thursday:
Day 4! Today was about puppets. We saw the parade floats backstage and then got hand on hand experience with puppets. We then went back into the dance room and played with real puppets from Disney Junior, such as the Bear in the Big Blue House characters. Then we recorded our songs and met up with Susan Eden again. To end the day, we had VIP seats for the Soundsentional Parade!! After that, I went on California Screamin’ with some friends and now my throat hurts really bad. Beauty hath no pain!!

Friday:
Today was AMAZING. We rehearsed on stage, met Caroline Sunshine from Shake It Up, and then preformed for real. I’ve made some really good friends and I hope to come back next year to do this again!!!

Saturday:
These past five days have been absolutely incredible. Thank you to everyone: the Red Shirts and my new life long friends. Saying goodbye is one of the worst things to do, however I know we will keep in touch. We may live far apart, but there is always FB and Skype. Hopefully I’ll see them all next year!

Prom 2013

Last night was Prom. I was really excited about going; and I talked the principal into letting my sister go with me. I had a beautiful dress, high heels, nail done; and my mom did my hair and makeup. I was blasting music getting into the mood. My sister looked beautiful as well. I went over to a friend’s house to get dressed with some other friends. After we were dressed, some of our guy friends came over and we went to the beach to take pictures. We all looked really nice! When we got to the hotel, we saw our friends and took more pictures. The theme was New York City lights so the ballroom was decorated really nicely. We claimed a table and waited for the rest of the people to show up. We ate dinner and started dancing. It was pretty fun!

I have been waiting for the day that I could go to Prom and it was finally here. (Even though it was sophomore Prom) I always thought Prom would be this amazing party. Don’t get me wrong, it was amazing, however it was more of a normal fancy dance. I think it would have been more fun for people with boyfriends/girlfriends or real dates. My sister was a good date, but guy dates are different.

I had fun and I’m glad I went!! There is still next year and the year after that.

Until then, here’s to SUMMER!!!

So there are 4 more weeks till Summer and I am so thrilled! 2 more weeks till finals, but that’s ok. My sister is coming here most likely next week and I can’t wait to see her. Summer is going to be awesome!! Oahu, Maui, and maybe California. SO EXCITED!!!

Prom is also coming up in a week and the theme is New York lights. I’ve always wanted to go to Prom and this is my first chance. I’m pretty sure, if the timing is right, I will have the BEST Prom date ever!!!!! #STOKED

It’s been a while

So I realize I stopped writing for a while, so much has happened since I last wrote. My last post was over a month ago…wow!! Since then, I had a party with some of my friends over Spring Break, spent a lot of time with my parents, and started working out with my friend. Thursday night, I went to a house party with some friends. I found out about it that morning at school. I really wanted to go to a party, so I asked a friend to go with me and we went. It was fun, nothing like what I expected, but entertaining.

There are about 7 more weeks of school left until summer and I am so excited!! I am running for Publicist next year as Student Council and I think it will be a fun way to get involved and make more friends.

Anyway, I have to get back to work.

Massive Weekend

I had an amazing weekend this pass weekend. On Friday, I completed my CPR course, now I’m certified! On Saturday, we went on a boat to an island where we went jet skiing and banana boating. It was so much fun!! It was my first time jet skiing by myself.

We are fully moved into our new apt and we now officially have internet!!!

My new room is decorated with furniture, however, my wall theme is not done yet.

All in all, great weekend!!

Being Silent is Hard

Today, March 13, 2013 is the Vow Of Silence Day. I am participating because I am raising money for the Red Nose Day Charity. I am being silent for the whole day and I am getting sponsored as well. This is for a good cause, however, it is not easy to be quiet. Plus, at school, where I have to answer questions and ask questions. Luckily, the teachers respect it and don’t make people break their vows.

Speech class might be difficult though. Since the teacher is not here right now, we are just working on our speeches. The sub said people who are doing the vow cannot present today. There is no way we can break the silence. That’s good. I’m ready to present my questions to the opposing side, but I can wait till next class when I can talk.

Football Game

Yesterday, I went to a CPR/First Aid course. I wanted to go to re-new my CPR license so I can get my Rescue Diver License. It was interesting. Then, around 3pm, we went to a real American Football game in Dubai!!! Football here is Soccer, so a real football game was cool! Our team won!!!!

Then, we went to dinner at a mall. This was no regular mall, it had a ski ramp in it. So while we were eating our dinner, we were watching people ski. Intense! Hopefully we can go back and ski ourselves.

Today we are going to the Ferrari Races. That will be awesome!!

I’m Back

Wow, so much as happened since I last wrote. I picked my classes for next year and I am taking a CPR course on the 8th and the 15th. I am doing a lot of service work for hours and I am having fun! My parents and I spent this past weekend at a sand castle. It is called Qasr Al Sarab. It is 3 hours away from town and in the middle of the desert. It was so relaxing and so beautiful. My dad and I went on a sunrise camel ride on Saturday and we even stopped for coffee and croissants. It was awesome!! We spent a lot of time by the pool and I even saw some people I knew from school. I met some nice people and sadly, got a LOT of sun!! Oh well, it was fun!!!

We had Career Day on Thursday and the students all went to different rooms to learn about careers we might like to pursue. I went to acting ones. It was interesting.

Tonight, March 4, my parents and I are going to a show about Abu Dhabi and the culture and history. Should be cool.

Picture Day

Today was another “big” day. This morning, I had a Mock test in Math and then I had an in-class summative in History. Both went pretty well in my opinion. During French, I did an oral interview with the teacher. It was to see how our speaking skills are. Mine skills are good! I was told my speaking is beautiful!

During the first few minutes of Direct Studies (study hall) I went to get my Yearbook photo taken. I was the only one in the room and I got three pictures taken. Again, “beautiful!” I am such a model!!
Thursday is International day and I have a great idea for my outfit.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

Today is going rather well. It is Valentine’s Day and I only have 3 classes. Most of my friends left before second period to go to India for a Cross Country race. COOL! I had French first and we took a little practice test. I did pretty well! I am now in Directed Studies, which is like study hall. The thing is, it’s second period and I have no homework. Oh well. After Lunch I have Math and History. AFter school, my mom and I are getting ice cream and then going running. That way we can work off the sugar.

Anyway, time to go.

HAPPY HEART’S DAY! <3
