Disneyland’s Performing Arts Conservatory

Monday:
Such an intense day! It started out with a warm-up workout backstage, then we learned the choreography for our final number. We had lunch and then went into CA Adventure to watch the Aladdin show. After the show, we had a meet and greet with the cast! We then got split into three groups for the songs. I’m in the Under The Sea performance. It’s super fun and I’m meeting some really nice people. This is definitely a dream come true!

Tuesday:
Super fun day today! Started off with Pirates of the Caribbean, two times in a row, then we went backstage to rehearse. We met Susan Egan, who plays Meg in Hercules, and then we split into our groups to rehearse our dance routines. Tomorrow is day three and it is going to be AWESOME!

Wednesday:
Yesterday was a lot of fun and I totally passed out when I got back to the hotel. In the morning, we did improv exercises and in the afternoon we went into CA Adventure and watched shows and The Pixar Play Parade. Then it was time for singing and dancing. I can’t wait for today!

Thursday:
Day 4! Today was about puppets. We saw the parade floats backstage and then got hand on hand experience with puppets. We then went back into the dance room and played with real puppets from Disney Junior, such as the Bear in the Big Blue House characters. Then we recorded our songs and met up with Susan Eden again. To end the day, we had VIP seats for the Soundsentional Parade!! After that, I went on California Screamin’ with some friends and now my throat hurts really bad. Beauty hath no pain!!

Friday:
Today was AMAZING. We rehearsed on stage, met Caroline Sunshine from Shake It Up, and then preformed for real. I’ve made some really good friends and I hope to come back next year to do this again!!!

Saturday:
These past five days have been absolutely incredible. Thank you to everyone: the Red Shirts and my new life long friends. Saying goodbye is one of the worst things to do, however I know we will keep in touch. We may live far apart, but there is always FB and Skype. Hopefully I’ll see them all next year!

Toujours,

Tara
