Shopping!!!

Aujourd’hui was “picture day” for our lunch cards. Apparently, j’étais the only one who didn’t know about this. En line, je quickly re-did mes cheveux et took off ma veste and scarf. (I waited too long to type this so the rest is going to be in English)

Thankfully, it was Wednesday, which meant it we got out at 12:25pm instead of 5pm. So, I was in Section Européenne today, it’s a class in English about UK history. It doesn’t help me in French, but I was asked to do a presentation about life in Hawai’i and France and how it’s different. (I guess I’m staying in this class) After Euro, it was Science and English. Only 4 classes on Wednesdays! In Science, I was asked to read one of the questions out loud…in French. This might have been either because I was writing something and the teacher thought I wasn’t paying attention, or because I am here to learn French and this would be a good way to help me. Either way, I read it with the help of Alix. I found out that when I read on command, my American accent really shows.

In English class, we had 5 minutes to ask the teacher questions about himself. One of the questions, I guess, was “what color if your underwear?” I didn’t really hear it when it was asked, but I heard laughter. After a few minutes I heard what it was and started laughing too. Now I know that my English teacher plays the bass guitar, likes to swim, is 42 years old, has 3 boys, is married to a women called Jasmine, and likes mountain biking. Ok then…

Back to the past…yesterday I learned how to say “seal” in French. It’s phoque. I just thought that was funny!!! So now I can say “Oh phoque” and whoever doesn’t read this will think I’m saying something else. 🙂

After school, I went shopping with Marine to get shower stuff, long sleeve shirts, jumpers, and shoes. I came home with shower stuff, one long sleeve shirt, and a magazine that is in French. Instead of taking 30 minutes-an hour to read, this one will take me longer. A good way to learn more words and phrases though!

Anyway, bed time. Night!
